Through our periodic Open Call, we accept applications from individuals in all creative pursuits, unrestricted by nationality or discipline.
For Sacatar’s Open Call, applications may only be submitted electronically. The artist fills out an application form on line and includes examples of recent work, a professional résumé, a proposal of what the artist intends to do at Sacatar, a brief statement answering Why Bahia? (and not Berlin or Beijing), and two references whom Sacatar may contact to clarify any doubts regarding the application. To submit the application, the artist pays a US$25.00 application processing fee.
In addition to our unrestricted Open Call, opportunities to come to the Instituto Sacatar are available through our partner organizations. These additional opportunities are often restricted by nationality, discipline and/or age.
