Cartoonist, illustrator, and painter Cau Gomez (2021 Sacatar resident) has won the Grand Prize at the 46th International Nasreddin Hodja Cartoon Contest 2026 in Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury for the 46th Nasreddin Hodja International Cartoon Contest 2026, composed of Darko Drljevic, Klaus Pitter, Metin Peker, Nuri K\u00f6ksal, and Yi\u011fit \u00d6zg\u00fcr, met in Istanbul on June 6, 2026, to evaluate the submitted entries. This year\u2019s contest attracted 580 cartoonists from 60 countries<\/strong><\/em>, who submitted approximately 1,600 cartoons. Following a five-stage evaluation process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, what an immense joy it is to learn of such a symbolic achievement! It firmly places me on the map of international cartooning. It is truly a major artistic and professional milestone, arriving as a fresh source of motivation to celebrate the Brazilian tradition of humor drawing, which brought acclaim to masters such as Fortuna, Ziraldo, Paulo Caruso, and Jaguar. <\/em>
