Sacatar resident artists Louise Mutrel and François Dufeil will present their artist collective Le Wonder and their personal work and research in a public conversation at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bahia (MAC_BAHIA) next Thursday (10/30). The event is the result of a partnership between Sacatar, MAC Bahia, and FRAC Bretagne, and is part of the FRAC exhibition program at MAC.
Le Wonder is a collective studio run by and for artists. Since 2013, the collective of the same name has occupied large abandoned complexes in the suburbs of Paris and shaped the spaces it occupies in its own image. Collective studios, a shared machine park, and a space for experimentation and artistic thinking are made available to the 70 artists currently hosted there.
