Your gift increases cross-cultural understanding through creative practice.

The Sacatar Foundation and the Instituto Sacatar thrive through the generosity of individuals, foundations, corporations, and government agencies in the United States and abroad.  Donations support Sacatar’s programs, activities, and collaborations — both domestically and internationally — and are essential to the sustainable fulfillment of the focused community interactions of the Instituto and of the more global, intercultural mission of the Sacatar Foundation.

There are numerous ways you can keep Sacatar vibrant for years to come. Make intercultural exchange happen through art by donating in any of these key areas:

Provide support in the area of greatest need within the programs of the Sacatar Foundation
Provide specific support to residency opportunities at the Instituto Sacatar
Provide support to alumni-sponsored residency Fellowships to the Instituto Sacatar
For donor specified support via wills and other forms of estate plans
Frequent flyer miles, goods, and services are always welcome. The Sacatar Foundation receives all in-kind donations directly and asks that you contact us to arrange receipt of any in-kind donation.

All contributions or gifts to the Sacatar Foundation, or to the Sacatar Fund at the Tides Foundation, are eligible for tax deductions. If you itemize your tax deductions, you may claim a federal charitable income tax deduction for your gift to the extent provided by law in the year of contribution. Any charitable income tax deduction is subject to certain limitations, so please consult a tax professional regarding contributions reported as tax deductions. Contributions to the Sacatar Fund at the Tides Foundation are exempt from federal and state gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer taxes.

  How to give

Cash donations in support of the Sacatar Foundation can be received directly by the Sacatar Foundation by check (drawn in Euros or US dollars) or online.

For major gifts greater than $5,000 and gifts of real estate or stock transfer, the Sacatar Foundation has set up a donor-advised fund with the Tides Foundation Fund, a U.S. 501c3 public non-profit in order to provide the greatest tax benefits to donors.

Please contact Sacatar’s Director of Advancement, Lissa Gibbs, to answer any questions related to gifts of support:
